Sadface that there's only a few episodes left...

This show has really picked up my Saturday nights. It's such a rich series I will be very sad to see it go. Only to be replaced by formulaic garbage like Hawaii Five O and NCIS/CSI clones. This is why it's far more profitable to watch Netflix or cable programming. Network TV is dead.

Couldn't agree with you more, bc. I watch practically no TV. It's formulaic, clones, gawd-awful "reality." If I want to see something, I'll go with Netflix. They even have recent Showtime series. I can pick and choose.

I already did it

I know this was probably said a million times before but all the good shows are being replaced by crappy (in polite words) reality shows. I will cheer on my rooftop when another genre of shows replace realities. Stupid (in polite words) realities are replacing the good dramas and comedies.

I really hope Chaos is given a second chance - apart from them showing episodes in the wrong order which was annoying, it's been a great series and something a little different to what is normally on.

It's always the creative, quirky shows that get cancelled. The mantra of network television must be - if it doesn't fit in the box, out it goes. What a shame. Wow, now we get more reality/talent shows!

reply

The mantra of network television is if it doesn't get ratings, and costs too much money, out it goes.

What's odd is that, after cancelling it, instead of pulling the final episodes they promoted them extensively eith commercials and aired them! I mean, I'm glad, and they probably spent enough money on it not to shelve it completely, but it's so hypocritical.

I do appreciate the creators were bold enough to make a show with 4 male leads, I can bet the network wanted 1 or 2 of them to be a leggy blonde instead. Leggy blonde females I mean. ;)

I'm at the point where I don't even want to get involved with a new show anymore. Even the L&O and Criminal Minds franchises weren't given a decent chance! That wasn't a good sign IMO.

So we have to go to Hulu or buying dvds to see "Pushing Daisies", "Kidnapped", "The Philanthropist", "Conviction", "Dead Like Me" etc. I think of them as mini-series now. :(

I agree. I have become shy of involving myself with new programming for fear that it will be pointless in the end.

And yeah, all we need in this world in one more GD reality show. People are sheep.

P.S. I love "Dead Like Me" also, but it wasn't cancelled due to ratings. There was a directional disagreement between the creator and the producers that ended up killing it.

Why is it that the good show's always get canceled ???
But garbage like survivor and the real(fake)housewives and all that other fake reality junk seems to thrive which makes me think that most people in this country are as lazy and dull brained as the morons who create and produce those ridiculous shows.
It's great how smart writing, great acting and incredible production values are tossed in a can and burned while drunken retarded morons from NJ that can't even speak proper English make more money than most professors even from MIT and Harvard and it's all because most of the viewing public isn't smart enough to understand the good show's so the good stuff out there get's canceled while morons from NJ and make more money than half the good shows get for production.
It is a sad world we live in when great shows like CHAOS, S*it my dad says and many others get kicked out the window and we only get 13 episodes of a great production like this.

kuluvas - I'd click a big "like" button if I had one for your comments on the state of American TV.

I came across time for you, Sarah.
