Its October....every October AMC always runs marathons of Halloween, Friday The 13th, Child's Play and Freddy, and every year I find myself always rewatching them, AMC is also replying the Insidious Films
This year, I've rewatched all the Insidious films--

IMO Chapter 2 is better than 3, But I enjoy 3 better

My ranking is in order of release though I'd say there isn't a great deal of difference between 3 through 5, a tiny step down each new entry. The first two are the clear standouts, likely due to James Wan's direction and also the fact Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne are the stars with plenty of screen time.
Wilson and Byrne returned for The Red Door but Byrne didn't have a lot of screentime and Ty Simpkins was basically the lead, the scare factor was below 3 & 4.
The first two are very finely tuned scare rides, amongst the best of their ilk.
