this was awful

Just wanted so say that bit. Absolute rubbish. I think Sean Bean needs to stop acting in such awful movies.

Dyer has the last words in the film, he just says really flatly 'uh, great' or something like that. Which was a terrible way to end a movie, but fitting none the less.
The dialogue really seems liked the crew were ad-libbing their way through it. Which sometimes worked, other times it should have had far more takes. Hey just MHO.
And why the feck didn't they pick up any guns or ammo, if you're out of bullets and your dead colleague has weapons, pick them up!

no technical advisor or anyone even vaguely familiar with war i guess.

which is why the germans do strange things like stand out in the open.... while they have perfect cover positions to massacre the germans...but this advantage is not taken with results.. the basics weren't examined.

They sure as fück didn't look like that. Looked more like a bunch militia, certinatly not some well trained unit set to guard a secret weapons installation. The officer and his shouting was painful to watch. Ex-military might just be that these Norweigans hade served as conscripts and from my own time as a Swedish conscript I can tell you that it doesn't give you the ability to portray authentic combat on sreen, especially if the director is a hack.

And for fück's sake - if you let yourself be completely overrun by a numerically much inferior unit, guys not even using snow camoflague in a winter environment, when you KNOW that they will attack - you deserve to die.

Ok, I thought they might have been random Norwegian extras, since apparentley it was filmed in Norway. I they are veterans from Iraq/Afghanistan I'll blame the lousy action-scenes on the director (and the lack of budget). What could have been avoided though, regardless of budget, was the completely retarded scene where the German officer stands in the open shouting about surrendering, as if he was in a police vs. bank robber situation.

Oh, when I wrote "deserve to die" I referred to the stupid Germans in the movie, no one else (Ok, maybe Hitler himself too).
