Another low budget film with Denny Dyer - why are these films being made is it a tax dodge or some form of money laundering. The only military equipment are some guns. No Tanks , Artillery and just one optical shot to represent a plane.
No crowd scenes just a small number of remote locations . One of the cheapest looking war films of all time - way below the production values of a low budget war TVM .
Wholly agree - very poor effort.
It was a painful watch for me, poor script, poor acting, poor everything really, my opinion of course.
Idk I liked it and there realistically would not have been tanks etc at that small of an outpost in the tundra in an already occupied country at that remote of a location realistically of the nazi war engines would have been in france, north afrika, the eastern front etc at the hot spots.

shareI very much agree. There was no SS Gebirgsjager units operating in the arctic circle apart from the the 6th SS Mountain Division Nord. It was formed in February 1941 as SS Kampfgruppe Nord Division & was the only Waffen SS unit to fight in the Arctic Circle. It was stationed in Finland and northern Russia between June and November 1941. It fought in the Karelian peninsula until the Finnish armistice in September 1944. Where it then marched through Finland and Norway, arriving in Denmark in December and was then transferred to western Germany. So the SS uniform markings are complete fabrications & merely used because the SS are seen as 'really' bad guys, when in fact statistics from the Bundesarchiv show that the Wehrmacht committed or were complicit in an almost equal number of war crimes.
