Yet ANOTHER overrated Asian flick...

Move is good/decent but it's not ANYWHERE near as great as you all are saying it is...

It's way too stylish and the humor doesn't work for the most part... Movie comes off like it was made by someone with ADD (the fast editing, slowmo shots, etc) and a bipolar disorder. One minute you're watching something dark/disturbing and then they randomly throw in some off beat humor out of nowhere (eg.. The Ending) it completely takes away from the actual tragedy that takes place within the flick. It feels as if the director didn't seem to take the subject or material very serious.

The Characters.... Everyone in the movie acts like a Sociopath s it's hard to feel sympathy for ANY of them including the Teacher and the end makes the whole movie feel like a pointless bad joke.

This movie is like... if Guy Ritchie directed the Columbine or VA Tech shooting.. With fast editing and the flashiness of one of his movies (specefically Snatch). Didn't work for me at at all....

Overall.. I'd give it a 7/10 rating.

I didn't feel empathy or sympathy for any character (aside from the 4 years-old daughter), and being this a revenge story, not having a protagonist - or even antagonist - to root for is a big problem.
Moriguchi killed an innocent person (the sociopathic boy's mother) while avenging her daughter, and yet she was disgusted and upset at the idea of a mass-bomb-killing at school? lol, okay.
Everyone else was just downright insane or dumb.
As expected from an Asian film, the acting was plain bad both from adults and kids (with maybe the exception of the psycho boy's fangirl): either absolutely lifeless or laughably forced.
Music, crap. Editing, too much. Pacing, slow.
Watchable, but ultimately dragged-on, messy, and arid. Can't believe the ratings and reviews, I guess people watch/love anything as long as it's "oh my gaaawd so disturbing and psychological and asiaaaan!".
5.9/10.

You say boycott movies injuring animals but you made the comment that all Asian actors are no actors at all. You are ignorant. Much like the people in this movie YOU are insensitive and you don't see anything wrong with it! AMAZING! You didn't see yourself in this movie but you should have. Only seeing YOUR view - LIKE A DAMN CHILD!!! Someone should give you a carton of milk. ?
