A wonderful surprise

I have to say judging by the reviews for this movie I was expecting it to be bad but I was completely blown away by it. It has to be one if not the most spiritual movies that I have ever seen. Not many people have heard of it but in my opinion it is very underrated. What do you think?

I think it would be great if you explain more why exactly you enjoyed this movie so much.

I can't put my finger on it. I just guess it was a spiritual journey for me, if that makes sense. I was just engrossed by it and immediately gravitated to the themes of the film.

Thanks for your reply! First time I saw this movie I was moved too, but when I watched it second time two years later I felt nothing. I know that's strange.

I've seen 4 of Weerasethakul's films so far and this was my most anticipated, but unfortunately it disappointed me. As bluntly as possible it bore me. I still appreciate it for it's artistic merit, but his other films are much better in my opinion. My favourite of his is Syndromes and a Century which was great. You should check it out if you haven't seen it.
