The poster says "Inspired by true events". True? If so, does anybody have a link?

The true events that Sean Stone referred to were him and his friend going into an abandoned hospital where they experienced strange things. obviously not the crazy things we saw in the movie. Sean then took the idea of this and made it into a horror movie.
