Personal Gripe

I didn't like the movie at all, for multiple reasons, but my biggest gripe was the way the director took so many nature shots to set the tone of the film, but each step in the progress of the division between Sergei and Pasha is handled very quickly, with the resolution feeling forced. Also, can anyone explain the choice of music at the end? Was that a joke or was it to signify a new era?
