I read in an interview ( and saw on Twitter: http://t.co/sylMZL4szR ) that Dad's Army Vicar Frank Williams will play a role in Katherine of Alexandria. He definitely looks the part. I can't believe he is still acting, he must be a ripe old age. Kudos to him! As a massive Dad's army fan this is a must see, just for Frank Williams alone!
Please excuse my ignorance. I never heard of Dad's Army before, but, I'm guessing from your post, that Frank Williams was really good in it.

Dad's Army was a phenomenally successful British sitcom set in World War 2. It was shot in the late 1960's and early 1970's, and is still constantly on television in Britain today.
KOA does seem to have a great British cast! It'll be nice to see Samantha Beckinsale again, she hasn't been on our screens in years!
Sounds interesting. I wonder why my own father(who was English & loved to watch old British shows) never heard of that comedy before?
Maybe it was one of the few comedies which was shown in North America.
