Does everyone who calls get to talk to the celebrities ?

I just doubt that anyone who calls and wants to give 10 bucks can talk to Speilberg or Dicaprio

They played some of a phone call with Reese, and the guy donating said that he was happy to help even if he didn't donate much. So maybe it's just luck of the draw... or phone pick-up... whatever it is.

I doubt it's a phone pick-up thing. Celebrites aren't going to do credit card transactions and names and addresses and all that stuff.

Probably only people who are donating a large amount. After they are done though, they will be redirected to an operator who will gather the information for the donation.

I could have held you in my arms forever, and it still wouldn't have been long enough.

Good call. I'm sure you're right... it wouldn't make sense otherwise. They would probably just get random crazies who want to talk to someone famous instead of donate, haha. I'm sure they get that anyway.

The person talking to Taylor Swift right now only donated $25.

Yeah, I think it might just be luck of the draw on getting to speak to a celeb, theres no way they talk to everyone

I still think there is some screening process, I can just imagine how many people would say the craziest things then hang up on them.

Someone on Howard Stern's show called in during the telethon to see which celebrity he'd get and he said that all calls go through a customer service call center to collect the donation and then the customer is ASKED if they'd like to talk to a celebrity. Most that do, hang up as soon as they are connected (because they don't know what to say). And MILLIONS of callers called in but they only had like 50 celebs there so not every customer got to speak to a celebrity. A lot of people hung up when they got a customer service rep and not a celebrity.

Frankly, I think the celebrities in the backgrounds on phones is a joke. You can tell they aren't taking it seriously and are just acting and faking nice on the phone. They are just happy to get air time. Something to add to their resume.

Pants on the ground, pants on the ground, looking like a fool with your pants on the ground!
