Will board take off when it hits netflix on 3/1?

I've been pushing the original version on all my friends and acquaintances as must-see TV. I don't have netflix so I don't know how they introduce new shows to their subscribers, but I sure hope that those who have seen the Fox version aren't turned off to the idea of watching this version. I've also been pushing it a bit on somme other boards, like True Detective, where I describe Cleaver as a less socially skilled Rustin Cohle.

I used to have Netflix.

One day it just appears available to view. They have sections where you can check out new releases and also a section where things are recommended to you based on previous viewing and ratings of other movies and tv. At least they used to. It might have all changed. I got really mad when they removed the User Lists feature. It was fun to make lists and view others selections. It seemed they used to have everthing but when it became uber-successful they took things away, added a lot of things no one watched I guess because of licensing fees. I really hope it does well though. I wish HBO and Showtime here would consider running UK and Australian programming. It's as good as anything original they've come up with.

Yolanda was a much better listener.

One of the problems with BBC America is that they need to edit 10-12 min out of an hour show for commercials. It would be nice to see more UK etc stuff uncut, and stuff that also offends the sensibilities of the PBS PC police.

If HBO showed Peaky Blinders, people might realize what pretentious crappola Boardwalk Empire was. ;-)

Well I'm here because it was on Netflix. I did not look closely at the picture and just noticed the word RAKE. I thought I was checking out the American remake and was pleasantly surprised that I wasn't.

How far into it have you gotten? It seriously does get better and better with each episode. I look for situations where I can deploy Cleaver's monologues on some unsuspecting victim.

So far I've only seen the first episode (which was fine.) I'm sure I'll eventually catch up with the rest when I get a chance.

Great show. Wentworth is also on Netflix and has the same actress as well. It's a great prison drama. Any other Australian stuff to check out? I watched the new Wolf Creek tv series which was pretty solid as well. Would love to see more.

Upper Middle Bogan and the miniseries Glitch. Also Westside which was a prequel to a popular series "Outrageous Fortun." Rake s04 is going very very well.

I have just started watching this show in Netflix (Aus). It only has the first 3 seasons. I expect it will add the 4th once it completes in run on FTA TV.

I thought it would be hard to top 3, but 4 did in spades. Now I have to wonder how they could possibly top 4 with a season 5, but given where Cleave ended up, it is possible.
