What Do You Think Makes Frank Refuse To Work?

Do you think it's a mental thing some people have? They can't sit still at a job all day inside an office? Or even a job in retail where they are on their feet all day, they still view it as a waste of time somehow?

Logically Frank knows if he had a job, he would have steady money coming in. Yet, he doesn't seem to want this. He'd rather stay on the streets and scheme all day just to maybe get 20 bucks. How is this better than working?

I got curious about this because my friend's son is 32, and he sits at home all day refusing to work. His dad is extremely mad that he doesn't work. What do you think makes people hate work so much?

Good question and I often wonder that too. I think maybe his mindset is that of a schemer and he doesn't want to work. He's irresponsible, hasn't been a father and provider to his family even when he does have money, so I think that carries over to all aspects of his life including work. There was the one time where he had the job at the home supply company and he really liked it, got into the work attitude. When that store closed down he did look for another job but was unsuccessful and just went back to his old ways. But I think we see that his working was more the exception for him and he's more comfortable being lazy, scheming and freeloading.

If you don't work then you have to be okay with the lifestyle.

Frank has no problem ending up where he ends up.
