They need to bring back Jimmy/Steve.

There needs to be some kind of closure to that storyline. His reappearance in season 5 was weak, leaving things too up in the air. He was a main character for three seasons straight, it doesn't fit with the story to completely drop him.

Every time Fiona gets involved with a new guy, we know it won't last. With Gus and Sean, even though they spent entire seasons on them, nobody connected with them and we knew they weren't permanent. Jimmy/Steve has to eventually resurface and get involved in the story again in some way, he's not just a random character like the others. Just feels a little distracting because he played a huge part in the show and does need to come back at some point.

Oh, he's definitely going to make another appearance!

How does his character leave?

What closure? Wasnt him driving off in S5 closure enough, knowing that he had lied to her AGAIN?

His part in the show wasnt huge either. He was just an interchangeable boyfriend of Fiona and I cannot even remember any specifically striking moments with him. Because most of his scenes very pretty forgettable and average. He just gave them financial aid every now and then, and was shagging Fiona and trying to get her to leave the others to fend for themselves the whole time.

They really f'd up his character in S5. They had something great. Their relationship was about two people who really loved each other but had obstacles and poor decisions keep them apart. Should have kept it that way instead of making him a lying a'hole. Jimmy and Fiona should have been end game. Now he's just another jerk.

I wanted them to end up together so badly because you could tell Fiona never got over Jimmy and all the other men she slept with after him were just rebounds. He was also the only guy who really understood how nuts her family is because he lived with them for several months! She obviously wasn't in love with Gus. That whole relationship was just something to distract her from the craziness that was going on at that exact moment.

It was an annoying character, portrayed by an irritating and talentless actor. Wanting it to come back is like longing for another dose of herpes. Makes zero narrative sense.
