Season 2 (contains spoilers for 'Finale')

As much as I like Ben for Kate, I'm glad that she didn't jump right from Justin to Ben. Kate's got some issues to deal with and won't be able to make a relationship work with anybody until she works them out. Like Lauren told her, sometimes it's better to spend some time with yourself. That was what she seemed to be doing at the end of tonight's episode, and I think that is the right path for her.

When she was looking at the cute apartment with Justin, and Justin mentioned that he found it through Ben Grogan, I thought that it just showed how much better Ben gets her than Justin. He picked out the perfect apartment for her because he is so in tune with her. Then when he showed up on the neighboring terrace in the final 20 seconds of the show, all I could think was "Ohhh, how devious!"

I liked when Ben told Leo that "it was not a sprint but a marathon." It just showed how he is in it for the long haul with Kate, looking for a relationship and not just a fling or one-night-stand. It showed that he is a very patient man. I think that he has the patience to sit back and let Kate work out her issues and be waiting for her when she is finally ready for a relationship again.

I am hopeful for a season 3. This season has been awesome. I feel really sorry for the people who were turned off early because they didn't take to the Ben character, they've really missed out. I think that you have to watch all 13 episodes from season 2 to understand the story arc and where they're going with the characters' development. I liked the show in season 1, but I have to admit that I am totally addicted after season 2! I'll have a hard time waiting for more episodes to come!

That's what I've been saying-Ben cares enough about Kate to be willing to wait for her. He's so much better than Justin.

i agree w/your post entirely; a lot ppl thinking bc its titled "Finale" it may mean "series finale" - but i took it as kate's independence and justin's ultimatum- if you walk out that door "we are over" - to me that was a "final" for them - i'm sure if we get a season 3 (which i hope and think we will) - the justin factor will be there but i don't think we will see them jumping in and out of bed every episode. also what gets me is that justin cheated on kate while they were married yet she still kisses his ass and forgives him. i think she should've waited a long time before forgiving him and jumping in the sack w/him. so i think "finale" is based on the character of kate's new found independence -- maybe she will eventually go on a date w/ben but i think she will take time for herself first. i HOPE USA keeps this show, bad enough they are putting on a political show "Political Animal" - think thats the name, i sure as hell will not watch - if i wanna watch any political crap i would put it on fox news, cnn, etc etc...

I agree that "Finale" doesn't have to mean the end of the series. I think that Kate and Justin are not right as a couple, but there is some love there which has made it hard for them to let go completely. Now, finally after two seasons of bouncing back and forth, Kate finally found the strength to walk away. Justin's ultimatum suggests that he is done. Now that that door is closed, it opens up so many new avenues to explore. Kate is alone to figure out who she is and what she wants which is exactly what she needs. I am so looking forward to season 3. Hopefully, she will figure out that what she wants is BEN!

I think the thing with Kate and Justin is they had terrific chemistry, which nowadays people mistake for love. Now they've realized they don't have those kinds of feelings for each other, they can get into the place they should have been all along-really good friends. That's what I'd like to see. And I think Kate knows on some level how she feels about Ben, but she's so scared....should make for an interesting third season-I hope we get it.

waaauw this is like exactly what i thought about it.
so cool.
we now, sadly know that it's cancelled and i was really sad when she looked at him with this ooooh noo look. almost angry. the whole episode she was looking at him with this, almost loving interested look and they end the show like that??
soo sad. okay we can imagin that she will let her justin wounds heal because she's clearly not over him. as we can tell by how she took care of the beautiful angel wings paintings.
and i wasn't expecting a heavy romance. just this look, maybe a good conversation, a little kiss maybe or a promise...
it's really sad that the show has been cancelled. okay she wouldn't be working with justin that much, because he probably will win the race. and there's also lauren and her fbi involved romance... sad sad sad
