Yep, just like every show on TV. All shows are fake. They have a script and paid actors. This is no different. It's entertainment. Lighten up and have a good laugh.

shows *beep* fake, Its bad enough watching those cheesy CSI reenactments but to just flat out make fake chases and stake outs, thats dumb, should be called southern fried s**t. Makes me wonder if Dog the bounty hunter was event real

Wow. Private Investigators detaining people, harassing people, performing illegal seaches. HIGH SPEED CHASES.

Christ at least make an attempt to be realistic or at least plausible.

I just watched part of an episode for the first time and I thought it was a Southern version of Reno! 911 but I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that or if it was a "serious reality" show. Which is why I came here to find out. Question answered.
