Is this as fake as it looks?

First of all, the opening "warning" says the show has been "inspired" by real life cases.

Then, the show looks like it's been acted out, the quality of video looks too good to be recorded from random hand-held video camera from Best Buy that you see them carrying around, and the overall stings just look too planned and perfect.

Is this show as fake as it looks?

Yes,it is.I'm watching this for the first time tonight and can tell this is fake.I'll believe the cases are real but it is so obvious that this has all been reenacted for tv.

Any connection between your reality and mine is purely coincidental

Also, I went to college in Spartanburg SC and it appears that the entire show is filmed there...I recognize landmarks that are supposedly in Atlanta, Nashville ect

This dumb a $$ show is the inevitable spawn of "Reality TV". I wish it was the only one and the last one but alas, it's one of three that come to mind.

i think its the fakest of the fake-reality shows, although a couple of the "car towing" shows can give it a run for the money

Unfortunately when I see this show come on I inexplicably *beep* my pants. Created quite a few messes.
