I thought this film was flawed (the ending especially) but I definitely thought it was better than a 4.3!
I would give it a 7, in fact. It was really scary, and worked well with such a small budget also.

Yeah, I quite enjoyed it as well, thought it was quite effective as a rip off of PA, in fact the only PA films I liked were the first, and by far the third, the second was a complete bore fest and 4 was just terrible. PE 1 and 2 though at least still try and deliver the scares. I rated 6/10.
shareI just watched PA 4 a few days ago, and I thought it was a lot better than I expected. But then, I was expecting a complete dud like Part 2!
Part 4 wasn't quite as scary as I'd hoped it'd be (its going to be impossible to top Part 1), but I liked it a lot. The acting was very good, which surprised me BIG TIME!
The last 10 minutes also scared me big time!

I gave this film a 7 as well. Some moments were very creepy (including the demon imitating Samantha's voice and the footprints in ash on the ceiling). The only thing I really didn't like about the film is the ending because it felt far too abrupt, but other than that I thought it was pretty good and deserves a higher rating. I think people just screamed "ripoff" without even giving it a chance because of the studio that made it. But if people judged the film on it's own merits they might like it.

While the ending was very rushed, it was otherwise a very good film...even scarier than "PA" in a lot of ways!
What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that this is an AUTHORIZED 'ripoff' of "PA"! It wasn't supposed to be terribly original, but it managed to be in spite of that.
I watch it often, and like it a lot despite its ending & occasional plot hole.
It has an air of menace about it...plus that whole 'ash' thing was terrifying!
