Special effects wasn't that bad, better than quite a lot of other sci-fi sfx. The script is quite good, better than some scripts written by so called academy award winners. The acting is quite good, better than your average tv-movie.

All in all a respectable sci-fi. With some nice twists.

Some pointers.

1) Place the joystick closer the the chair.

2) Put seat belts on the chairs. I'm also looking at you star trek.

3) Put medikits onboard ships

4) Don't stray too far from the ship when you hear strange sounds. It's either going to kill you or hump you.

5) Don't go swimming in anything that looks like a pond/lake you know nothing about. The most idiot thing to do. It can work out very bad in many ways and all for a brief refresher.

6) if you got cloak. Use it when you know you're not alone

7) If you got a helmet, put it on.

8) If you've got a broken leg, don't think about walking too far

9) If you got a gun, don't put it down.

10) You got 26 hours on a flight and there are 3 guys 3 girls.

You either

a) go for an orgy
b) play truth or dare
c) play strip poker
d) have a sleep over over
e) override the safety controls on a computer.

Only one is wrong.

It actually was quite good, certainly miles better than the horrid After Earth and probably better than Oblivion was too to be honest. All at a fraction of the cost.

The characters themselves were pretty stupid in their behavior, and it was a shame the cute one went first :/

I agree the good looking girl went too fast. Plus it looks like they made this movie on someones PC's.

I got ripped off with this buy, no wonder it was cheap $

"We pruned the hedges of many small villages" (the three amigos)

Special effects were outstanding for the budget, but otherwise it was just a big pile of meh IMO. Those actors looked to clearly be in their early, and some late, 30s, they did not look like college kids to me at all.

First off the title is all wrong. "Dark Space" REALLY... 90% of the movie takes place on a backwater planet that has killer 6 foot tall ape/ewookes or something... NO characterization. The plot is so simple why even bother calling this science fiction... Nothing about this movie is science fiction. Just because its human's future and they have a FTL ship. Like the barebones of what i would call science fiction. Thank Goodness i watched this at work so my time wasn't that wasted but still 90 minutes i can never get back, ever... This movie looks like cut scenes from a PSone or PS2 cheap video game. How does crap like this even get its funding... Someone got paid.. Sure is hell wasn't the people that actually paid money to see this...
