let me start by saying that i really enjoy this movie and ive given it a 10/10 rating on here... with that said, i think its really annoying that the creators claim (and still claim!) that its real. its just slightly annoying and insulting. why not just call it what it is instead of lying to people? this is not a thread to debate if its real or not, its 100% not real. its based on a cultural phenomenon that happens constantly in this country but the movie itself is 100% fake. so why insult peoples intelligence by saying its real?

You said it yourself, it's about a cultural phenomenon that happens daily - ergo by exposing such, it is REAL. Of course Nev didn't really believe it underneath - otherwise he wouldn't have set out to make a film about it. He so obviously knew there'd be something worth capturing (excuse the pun) in the end.

So I went to film school, studied documentary techniques, paid close attention to this and still am totally baffled as to how so many people "know" this is faked and not an actual documentary. What's tipping you off to that?

I think it's hilarious that you state this documentary is 100% fake as if it is a fact but in no way attempt to back it up.
