Golden Girl Betty White celebrates her 95th birthday Tuesday. The actress is recognized by the Guinness World Records as having the longest television career for a female entertainer. The Oak Park, Illinois, native started working in television in 1939. She’s best known for her roles as TV cooking host Sue Ann Nivens in the ’70s hit show “Mary Tyler Moore” and as ditzy Rose Nylund on the ’80s sitcom “The Golden Girls.” In the past decade she’s appeared on the television show “Hot in Cleveland” and her own show “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers,” in which senior citizens play jokes on younger people. In 2012, White won a Grammy for the spoken word recording of her best-selling book “If You Ask Me.”
