I thought Joy and Bob had determined earlier they had no chemistry...

In the season 6 episode where they were talking about wanting to have the perfect first kiss, it's like history was rewritten. They had already kissed and determined that they had no chemistry. Why is it that that was just ignored, and they were now acting like this was their first kiss? And now, all of a sudden, Bob was the best sex Joy had ever had? I admit I didn't watch all of season six, but how did they get past the detail that they had already kissed and had no chemistry previously?

I think the writers goofed and realized that the actor who played Bob really brought a lot of humor to every episode he was in.

In contrast, the guy Melanie dated in season 3 or 4 and moved in with him briefly really dragged that season down. It wasn't the actor, it was just the situation.

I agree he's funny, but she has SO much more chemistry with Simon. They really should have gone for that fairytale ending. The scene when Simon sneaks into her bed in the final series had huge chemistry, it just seems silly and absurd that she'd still go for Bob, and start getting as silly and soft as he is.
