Great film, really damn scary for a change

I'm so sick and tired of the idiotic shoot'em up zombie flicks like Horde or the Resident Evil films, 9/10 for this one (score for what it was, a low-budget horror film and not some overall cinematic masterpiece).

It just goes to show doesn't it that you don't need 50million to make a movie. Which, by the way, was the budget for Resident Evil. And look how it turned out. And look how this one turned out as well and it never even cost half of what RE cost. Hollywood is f!cked. Plain and simple. They would never be able to create such a movie as Siege of the Dead with the same budget these guys had. No way!.

Mr. Jones: "Versace?. You can't even spell Versace."
Uncle Elroy: "Fosatchy, f-o-satchy."

reply

What was the budget, anwyay? The English title apparently has changed, by the way (Rammbock: Berlin Undead - sounds better than just another ...of the Dead).

Rammbock sounds like a really dumb name for a movie. Rammbock sounds like someone with a speech problem trying to pronounce "Rambo" and they end up saying Rammbock. I would not have glanced at a movie on the DVD shelves or on Amazon that was entitled "Rammbock" but I did at this movie when it is called Siege of the Dead. As that caught my attention. And I ended up purchasing it from Amazon as well. What's good for a movie in one country might not be in another this is why the change in title for this particular movie.

Mr. Jones: "Versace?. You can't even spell Versace."
Uncle Elroy: "Fosatchy, f-o-satchy."

reply

Rammbock is a German for battering ram. They make one to get into another apartment, you know.

reply

It doesn't matter what the meaning of it is. It's a dumb title for a movie!. Like I said at the end of the other post what is good for the movie in one country might not be in others. And they know it this is why the name changed!. Rammbock would alienate a lot of potential buyers. Siege of the Dead wouldn't. Where's the proof? they changed the name if I was wrong the name would have remained Rammbock.

Uncle Elroy: "Fosatchy, f-o-satchy."

Why are you so mad on the Internet. Am I even arguing about anything?

reply

Mad? me? not at all. I am not mad if it seems as if I am then it's because of spending all these years on IMDb. This site tends to bring the worst of the net through it's doors in terms of imaturity etc. So I've been on the defence for years I guess it's just hard to lower the defences since it's been at Defcon 1 since I joined this site. It should be advised by those that run this site that when you joing it you should bring along a wall of sand bags and a helmet as well for your own protection. I'm serious. So I guess my response above is just through having to deal with idiots all the time that attack my views so I stick the helmet on and off I go. It is kind of hard to tell sometimes if it will just turn into a small debate or a verbal abuse match. I usually don't take many chances since there are so many idiots on this site. It's nothing personal pal. You have been decent on here compared to others I've met in the past on this site. Thanks for that, by the way.

I agree, it was a fantastic zombie film. I really enjoyed it!

When in doubt blame, BoogerBoyMeister!

What are you smoking? This "movie" was VERY boring. They can't act at all and the story was dull.

reply

Yes I'd like to know why and what all you guys find really original and interesting about this movie ? Except the fact that it is mercifully short ? Is it an after effect of the infection ?

reply

(Very) imperfect "normal" protagonist, no weapons (to speak of), actually terryfying, really refreshing after all the recent retarded shoot'em up crap.
