I sorta appreciated her ordinary look. I'm so used to hollywood women looking all made up. She looks like an everyday person who hasn't subjected herself to the glamour of fake hollywood. She looks pretty good...and natural.

I share your thoughts, I have been a fan of hers for a long time, but I don't consider her so "ordinary", to me she has more of a "fresh" beauty than a "glamorous" beauty. You realize she will turn 50 in 2013? (October)

Do you remember her in "The Karate Kid" filmed when she was about 19 or 20? Or as Jennifer in the 2nd and 3rd BTTF movies when she was in her mid-20s?

Some actresses who look very pretty when young don't age as well, but Elizabeth Shue hasn't changed much over the years, she is aging very gracefully.

I do realize she's almost 50. That's the appeal. She's not busy trying to make herself look 25 like they do in Hollywood. She's aging well and naturally.

She is still really pretty in person, guess they wanted her to look as simple as she did for the role.

I was saying the same thing to my husband. I have always thought she was a naturally pretty actress, sort of the girl next door look. And she has aged naturally .. still a pretty lady. It's actually refreshing to see an actress allow herself to age naturally.

Ordinary?! Have you seen what 99 percent of REAL middle-aged mothers with teenage kids look like? Elizabeth Shue has never exactly looked ordinary.

This was far from the best movie I've ever seen (especially, considering it features both a past and present Oscar winner), but I made it to the end, partly in the vain hope that this "ordinary-looking" mother would suddenly start making out with her "fat" daughter for some reason. . .

I love Elizabeth Shue. I think she's beautiful and I love that she's aging naturally. They look so much better with wrinkles than plastic and botox.

It was certainly close; Shue is, for me, now actually even hotter than she was in the 'Leaving Las Vegas' era (and of course, she's actually back in Vegas now, on CSI); but I'd still just give Lawrence the edge.

Yeah, i always thought Elisabeth Shue was nice to look at, and it seems like she is pretty grounded (especially for someone who began in the business when she was a kid).
