Nope, I have a question

So Ryan was made to dress up by his parents, and ended up killing them, right? (Right...?)

So the story about him being sent away was just a cover, right?

Except when the cop is first talking to the mom, he says that he personally drove up to Ryan's aunt's house to tell them that his parents were dead. So what, did he hitchike there faster than the cop could drive? He was still just a young teenager, right?
If someone could explain how this isn't a plot hole, that would be super.

The cop was in on what was happening, because he had been present when the little girl died and didn't want to be found out over the drug use. The whole story about the aunt, including the cop going up to fetch Ryan, was a ruse.

^ This. I think the fact that the cop and father looked similar confuses people. Lol

The cop knew Carrie Ann died as a child. He was at the house using drugs with the parents and participated in the cover up. We can assume Ryan never went to the aunts house when we see the sleeping bag in the woods. It's also a "coincidence" that the aunt "died" so shortly after the parents so Ryan moved back into the house.

The cop was the house doing drugs? I completely missed that. I saw the mother doing drugs and father already stoned. Didn't see the cop.

I missed that also. However, I guess the cop didn't see Ryan as such a psycho. He killed his parents then all was fine with him.

I just watched it on Netflix and I am sure they didn't have the bit with the cop and parents in it, it was cut.

I only got that from looking at the differences between the theatrical and unrated release in the FAQs.

While I don't feel there are any damaging plotholes the chloroform part when Lawrence is in the car trying to escape. He put the dry used rag (not newly doused) over her nose and mouth, and she was knocked out in 2-3 seconds. It takes an average of 5 minutes to be knocked out with actual chloroform not 2-3 seconds.
