not a bad movie...

Gave it a 6. Would've been better with 2 changes:

1) none of the battle of the bands high school stuff that was pointless and was almost just there to show that Katniss can play guitar and sing a little...also felt a bit Twilight which is never good.

2) I know the kid isn't supposed to be intimidating cuz we're supposed to like him at first and feel sorry for him...but when he turns bad he should be menacing...like it should be at least a little frightening...nope, the entire time I was like "wow, what a pansy".

I liked the movie and thought Max Theriot's transformation was more under your skin creepy than outright scary. It also helps that he plays Norman Bates' dark older brother in his show Bates Motel.

He's not meant to be imposing. That's what makes him dangerous. Ted Bundy was pretty charming, too.

I think the movie gets a bad rep because the only really good and virtuous people are killed (cop and Peggy). I gave it a 6 too.

The cop wasn't virtuous.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

1. The battle of the bands was to show that Elissa had some other things going on in her life besides her mission to fix Ryan. It showed that she was capable of making friends with people who weren't a-holes and could basically carry on a normal life.

2. A lot of dangerous people aren't dangerous looking. If they look pathetic, it doesn't mean we should stop being aware that these people are dangerous.

I actually liked the way Max played the character, he gave the character real sympathy and vulnerability, rather than him being straight out crazy menacing person.

Agree with Dash99. My thoughts completely

Knew the movie was going to be nothing special once I saw they were movie into a big lonely house lol. Continued watching cuz J.L. is hot. Enjoyed the film anyway.

reply

So , you would've like it better if they moved to a small house with lots of visitors?

reply

No.. but it's a cliché. Most "horror" movies start this way. Abandoned house in a dark forest where someone has been murdered. Even I could habe thought about something more original. But as I said the plot was at least for me of no importance in this case since the actress is nice to look at.

just another psycho movie... sleepaway camp blah blah blah... no revelation here. Acting was good, lighting and photography was good... 5/ 5. I was expecting more twists and turns.

in the beginning was the slash scene and i thought... right... here we go again, another modern horror movie glutting itself in violence and gore, but it turned out to be an interesting compelling piece, by the way it looked like she vanished after that cut, the cassette bit in the car was neat, the mother was one of those cases of kind of like a baywatch actress who have now reached a point where she gets to play a teenage parent and looks like a knockout, and the moviemakers put her in more daring outfits than the daughter, i would have liked the sheriff part better if his role didn't start off right away as a prick trying to hit on the girl's mother, notice the scene when they were sitting around the table as she was having wine and for a moment she looked completely wasted, when she told her daughter she had a surprise i thought it was a box with a tap on. aside from the sheriff i thought it was depressing how many off putting roles were in the movie, like the crowd attacking the kid, and the mother was so nasty to him too you kind of only had the sheriff and daughter as merciful people, i thought it became too twisted towards the end, major spoiler follows here, i wanted to believe the kid was innocent. anyway you change your mind about the mother since it turned out she was right all along and saved her daughter by the end.

moon stood east in shine,
as you stayed all through the night,
along with clock hand moon drifted to the other side,
until i was sleeping tight,
at morning when i awoke moon was still around, i was still not on my own,
madeleine had walked in as lucy had walked out my door,
as the shifting in sky never a dull sight,
as the switching of times hottest women in my room day and night,
melting like ice between two suns.
