I watched the pilot episode and the absolutely atrocious and insulting writing turned me away. Here we are in a post 9/11 world and some guy with a gun is beating on the cockpit door of an airplane, gets confronted by an air marshal and just keeps saying "you don't understand! I have to get in there!" with no attempt at an explanation and the marshal starts helping him. NO NO NO NO NO! I AM NOT THAT STUPID! DO NOT WRITE DOWN TO ME LIKE THAT!
It's simple: any time the phrase "you don't understand!" is used as a plot device you have jumped the shark. It doesn't matter how good a story concept is, you can't treat the audience like they are drunk 7-year-olds. I can't remember any script that pissed me off as bad as that one did.
Be sure to send this to the producers if they havent heard this already.
