Daisy

I think they put that twist in about Daisy because the show is canceled.

If you notice, most shows always have a character leave or die at the end of the first season. This was Daisy. It did feel a little rushed (and out of no where) but that's only because of the episode order was cut down but I think it was always their intention to have Daisy eventually leave.

Still kinda blows. And so what, instead of killing the black person they have her arrested (its ok, I can say that, my best friend is black)?

This show is getting good and I hope they dont cancel it. But like all networks with shows on the edge, they put it on a horrible time slot as a sink or swim ultimatum. The network wants to kill the show, but its still have viewers. So they will put it on a horrible time slot and see if the viewers stay or even grows.

Sad to say, I think this will go the way of the Dodo, just like they did with Jericho (even though I didnt watch that show).

L8O1S5T, why do you think it was always their intention to have Daisy eventually leave? I never heard or saw anything about that. I think they wanted to break up the team coming close to the end, so that the fans would realise that, well, it's ending, and not feel to sorry that it did end after losing a character. To say that it was always their intention is saying something about the Daisy character, and I never got that impression. Please enlighten where you got that idea. Thanks

I don't get it. I thought this show had potential. I almost dumped watching with the whole Annie death wish stuff in the beginning but they dropped that and I really started to enjoy it. Then after they didn't catch the pedophile, this whole Daisy thing coming about just made me roll my eyes. First off the DWI was stupid and her character didn't have a alcohol problem. I don't see respected police officers behaving this way and I would think she'd have been on suspension? Then they draw out this inner turmoil conflict crap and her only resolution was to sneak into the guys house and kill him but she needs to openly confess to the act. Why didn't she just sneaked in and just kill him w/o a word then left to live the rest of her satisfied life as nothing happened. What kind of executioner running a guillotine pulls off their hood after they are done to let everyone know who they are?

I really expected her to run. Or, to have her bf prompt her to run.

That would have been so much better than her just going in. I don't know why they didn't put that twist on it. The show is all about catching fugitives. They had a great opportunity to have the team work on a very personal case. They could have played on the team being caught between wanting to catch her because of their devotion to the job and wanting Daisy to get away with it.

Hopefully they still can explore this storyline before it's completely lost. They still have 2 more eps.

I really like your scenario better than the real thing. I feel that would have been a good idea - that she run and that as the finale, they hunt her down. It would have been a real adrenaline rush. Seems they want to go off gently into the night, with fans seeing that nice picture of all of them together in the photo they took (reminds me of the Medium finale episode), where you get some sort of closure. They wanted us to feel sympathy with them for their loss (of Daisy) so that we too would feel loss (for the show overall). If they had Daisy running, it might have pumped up too much talk and get people on fire to want to keep the show, and they've probably all accepted already that the show is done. I notice this board does not have many pages as some other shows. I also recently learned that Annie (Kelly Giddish) has signed up for I think two or more multi-arc episodes on The Good Wife.

i think the good wife is getting canceled-- i read it somewhere on the boards, i think it was from the ew.com website; they listed shows not coming back and of course freaking chase was on there but so was chuck, csi:ny, csi, the good wife, nikita (which pissed me off big time, this show had so much action it was insane-- i loved it), hellcats (which i liked) from what i understand the CW is cleaning house and also on cbs they are canceling a few shows...there were a few other shows on there as well but i can't remember all of them; i wish usa network would have picked up "Chase" bc it would have fit perfectly on that network and Nikita would've been great on there to...the need to get rid of law and order:la, bc w/o skeet ulrich -- it sucks...

ldddhunter, tks for the info, but you have some of it wrong. The Good Wife is not on the cancelled list. I read it today on that same EW.com site. Hellcats and a few others, including Nikita, CSI NY, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour are on the "not so good" list, meaning the networks have not made a decision on those as yet. The ones that are definitely cancelled are L&O: LA, Chase, Human Target, Lie to me, Breaking In, Outsourced, Detroit 187, The Chicago Code, Mr Sunshine and some others. So there is still hope for Nikita, and The Good Wife is not on the cancelled list and as far as I remember, is on the returning list. As I said, I read that today (Sat 14th May). I think fans deliberately boycotted LOLA because of Skeet Ulrich. Let's hope when they get a reality show instead - a cooking show called The Chew, that they will be happy for their boycott and pat themselves on the back. Because I am sure that LOLA on any given day, whether you or anyone else thought it sucked, would be much better than another stupid reality show, and one just about cooking. I dare anybody to look at themselves in the mirror and lie and say they'd prefer that.

Yeah what a weak thing. Do to a great character. Ncan their only be one woman on the show. Molestation brought Daisy down. Lame.

I apologize for grammatical errors- a side effect of IMDbing on my iPhone.

SkiiBum, I don't think Daisy could have lived with herself if she had killed him secretly and then continue to live a satisfied life as you suggest. That would have been insane for her. But I can't understand why she didn't talk to her coworkers. They could have done something. She's leaving a brother without a sister; a niece without an aunt; and parents without a daughter. After 15 years? She could have found a better way to solve that. Because if she was afraid of shame or anything, she certainly is going to get a lot of exposure as a US Marshall who killed someone in revenge for past acts. I know the writers/producers want to give closure and end the show on a finale sort of way, but I don't think that was the best scenario. I do like the show though and I'm sorry it's ending.

I was her stand-in/body double at the beginning of the season. Now that they've written her off the show, that's it for me. Unless they plan on bringing her back in the second season, if they have a second season.

Hard to believe you were associated with the show if you don't know that it was canceled months ago.
