4 things they should have done differently! SPOILERS

In my opinion there are 4 key things they should have done differently to make this a better movie;

1. Given Diane a different illness that the viewer could believe more that she could actually die from. I've personally never heard of anyone contracting sepsis from a kidney infection and dying, even if they had missed their anti-biotics. So I was a bit like "seriously?"

2. The kiss he gives her shortly before her death, should have been done when she was awake. That way it would justify him wanting the diary so badly, since there would be potentially something incriminating she could have wrote in it ie. the kiss. As it was, there was pretty much little reason for him to go to the lengths of killing his colleague to get it, since Diane didn't know what the Dr had been doing since she was always asleep/unconscious.

3. Diane's father storms into the hospital after her death accusing Dr Martin of killing his daughter, I thought that was when it was about to get exciting. I thought he'd perhaps found evidence of what the Dr had been doing. But then he was just escorted out and we never saw anymore of Diane's family for the rest of the film. It would have been way better to see more of the family and indeed accusations thrown the Dr's way.

4. He totally should have drowned and died in the ocean at the end. Would have been a much better ending in my opinion and more of a "Woah - he really was crazy!" (which is what they wanted surely?) instead we got this ending - he got away with it and life went on as normal. The End.
