Movie suggests a murder (Spoiler)

Michael was murdered through the use of *contaminated* crack/cocaine. First we get the view of a third party observing Michael buying crack from a guy. Toward the end we see the same guy passing the drug to Michael. But when Michael walks away he watches him with some concern. Also I read on (shudder)wikipedia that there were sudden deaths of several Dallas attorney agents investigating the GPO case. Madness!

That's what the movie implies, but it doesn't seem like there was enough real-life evidence to draw that conclusion from the actual death of the real person.

Reality is subjective.

Not only was Weiss murdered but just weeks apart from each other the two US attorneys investigating the case died under mysterious circumstance.

Shannon K. Ross was 44 years old, was not sick and died suddenly with cause of death being meningomyeloradiculitis.

Thelma Quince Colber was 55 years and found face down in the pool. Three other assistant US attorneys working on the case were fired or forced to resign.

Also...why did we see him being tailed by a car in his last scene!?

The problem with this film is it clearly WANTS to suggest Michael was murdered, but didn't want to ACTUALLY go that far

It's possible the filmmakers feared lawsuits, but I think it's more likely they knew there wasn't enough evidence, so they engaged in implication rather than accusation

Unfortunately, I think it weakens the story. Michael didn't need to be murdered to move the story along
