Terrible *beep* movie.

This was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long, long, long time.
I love English comedies and can forgive the odd weakness but this is absolutely terrible.

reply

This has got to be a somebodies vanity project. I can't understand how this got finance.

reply

Neither can I. Huge pile of steaming ordure. I can't understand how actors of the calibre of Berkoff, Capaldi and Bell got roped into this.

It seems that this is part of a whole 'Bulla' thing, but I don't see the point of making a film about a character not many people have heard of, without making that clear.

The only good thing is that it didn't last long. As the Duchess said to the Archbishop.

reply

It was uneven but surprisingly watchable.

Its that man again!!

reply

whole bulla thing? theres more of this stuff? blimey. the gypsys, why do we always get picked on for this crap as well. yeh some are very poor and so do the kinds of stuff the very poor from all backgrounds and ethnicities do, but jeez. i think there should be a rule that if all you know about gypsys is they do bare knuckle and something about there being caravans, you dont get to make jokes, its always borderline racist at best to extremely racist stereotyping at worst.

@salmo365 "This has got to be a somebody's vanity project. I can't understand how this got finance." You summed-up my thoughts exactly.

reply

I agree with everyone on this thread. Guess I'm spoiled by Guy Ritchie. I like his style.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

reply

The original director was Steve Lawson, who also made the equally crap and unfunny 'Just For The Record'. He sent me a narky message on here (after I expressed my opinion of JFTR), offering me to come down and direct a scene for 'Bulla: The Movie' (as it was known). Wish I'd taken him up on the offer now...

reply

Well thank you for letting me know someone who likes Guy Ritchie movies is the type of person panning this, now I know not to pay any attention to the negative reviews and will check it out.

A pile of doggy do-dah. I managed 23 minutes before enough was enough.
