Highly Engaging, and Well Worth Watching.

‘Summer Window’ is a film well worth viewing. It is very well developed as regards characters and plot. The film worked by being highly perplexing – with the plot calling for a fair bit of brain engaging – and it never wants for interest, and journeys towards a considerable degree of tension, or rather, suspense. The performance given by Juliane (Nina Hoss) is highly accomplished and deserves special praise. Special mention must be made of the role of light in this film. Either the director, or the cinematographer, is fascinated by light in its diverse forms, and it adds a lot to the film’s interest, and perhaps even introduces a tinge of “beyond our everyday” into the film’s nature. My overall impression is that it is a special movie, which maintains one’s constant interest and engagement.
