Balog, once a skeptic of global warming, was surprised by what he and his crew found. "In the first few months, we were seeing tremendously mind-boggling change in some of the cameras," he says. "Then as a few years went on, we all started to get the feeling of, God, this is such a powerful piece of history. We've got monumental change happening in front of our eyes."

Stunning photography documents the melting of the Arctic.

the "change" that was captured has been (and will continue) occuring for millions of years, long-before overfunded geeks with high-def cameras observed the uber natural warming (and somesay, cooling) aspects (ie: glacier melt-offs) for a sustained amount of time (a few years). God is a clever climatologist and he never needed Nat Geo to make his point.

The ice melt footage is pretty darn cool however - ain't NATURE great!?
