Powers not right for role?

A nice, cute movie. I thought Stephanie Powers looked way too young and attractive to play the domestic grandma role, dispensing advice and baking cookies, with seemingly no life of her own. She looked almost the same age as her daughter, and at times, I thought she was going to go after the sergeant. I thought it would have been more clear-cut to have had an older-looking actress-a Patty Duke type, perhaps.

I somewhat agree I thought Stef's role could of have more to it. And she didnt look like your everyday Grammy. But it was nice to see her back .

While you won't find many grannies that look as good as Stefanie Powers, at 67 years old she is definitely old enough for the part. Lori Loughlin looks great for her age too but IMHO she would look even better with brown hair.

I think both these women are beautiful and played mother and daughter well. I thought it was refreshing to see Stephanie Powers as a grandmother.
She is definitely old enough to play the part also. My sister is 50 but could pass for much younger. She is thin and wears nice clothes, goes out (she's widowed) and on some nights babysits her grandchildren and cooks and bakes with them. Grandmothers come in all ages, shapes, and sizes these days.

It happened in Salem....USA

I was actually surprised how much they looked like a mother and daughter to be honest...
