One of the few reasons I liked this movie is because I live in Michigan and I live like an hour from Kalamazoo, I go there every weekend for diving at a college, and I found it shocking and I thought "Did some chick in Kalamazoo win a sweepstakes for out state to be in this movie?" Ya know, because Michigan isnt that interesting.

Michigan is a popular state for movie plots. We've got college towns like Ann Arbor (big 10 football), beautiful scenery like mackinac island and the rest of up north, Western MI...all four seasons like nice snow fall but still hot summer days (unlike places like Miami and L.A. where the weather is always the same). Lots of celebs get vacation homes here too. It's low key and unsuspecting. I love MI.
