Not bad!

I saw it today and it actually was pretty good. Some parts were scary, and the vibe, in general, was creepy. They also threw in some comedy a couple of times. Acting was great. It was definitely very original.

There are a couple of unanswered questions but that's typical in movies nowadays.

I think any horror/thriller fan will enjoy this movie.

Edited: I forgot one important detail: The music was fantastic and added to the creepiness.

I agree.

Just curious, did you find it to be as unrealistic as I did? I'm not saying I didn't like it but it left me with questions and the more I think about it, the more unrealistic it seems.

That was my only complaint with it. Some parts were unrealistic and I didn't always believe the characters actions. I enjoyed it though, in spite of that.

Oh I enjoyed it too, but I just can't believe that this thing was downstairs while there were Airbnb guests staying in the house. Tess and Keith weren't the first guests, yet nothing happened to anyone else prior to them? There were no missing person complaints mentioned to AJ or to the realtor about anyone else who had rented. I have other questions too but I don't want to seem nitpicky. All in all it was very good.

Def unrealistic. I felt that the movie was full of contrivances and absurd behaviors, but I just kinda went with it. Movie was a lot of fun. I don't think it's a great movie (just not that much substance), but I think, as you said, it's quite original. It's entertaining. All of the actors did a superb job (Tess and Keith's interactions in the first act of the movie are totally natural). Sound direction and the music were top notch imo, and usually, I don't really pay attention to that sort of thing.

In addition to any past Airbnb renters, there were other things also that I questioned, like if there were so many murders over the years - which there obviously were from that huge video collection he had of his victims - and so many babies being born over the years - where were all the bodies?? My guess is that he buried them all over the neighborhood but we can't be sure. Also, what did they eat during all those years?? He'd obviously been sick for a very long time so his days of going out were long gone! No one knew he was there and the house had been sold long ago. How were they getting food?

Yes, the movie was a lot of fun, I totally agree, and there were some excellent scenes, but there was also some very sloppy writing.
