I never even HEARD of this show. Well, hardly.

I'd heard the words "Dustin Hoffman/racetrack/HBO show called Luck" (...zzz...) and ....then, nothing further. I didn't hear or read a word more about it. I know nobody who ever watched it. And then I read horses are dying and it's a big fat flop and it's cancelled.

HBO seems to make two kinds of TV series. Can't-miss like Game of Thrones, Carnivale, and True Blood. And then stuff like Luck. Guaranteed failure that hardly anyone watches or even talkx about, then disappears. What is HBO's thinking? I guess they just toss stuff out there and see what sticks.

My apologies to any true fans of this thing. I know how much it stinks to have a show you like cancelled. But this show was just one of those things they tossed out to see if it would take off, and frankly, it just wasn't meant to be.

It depends on what you mean "can't miss" OP. Game of thrones and True Blood I have no interest in; Luck i like. Everyone has their own taste.
