stupid way for show to end, but their fault

This show had a hell of a lot of promise. It's to bad that they let 3 horses die under their supervision. Now I know everyone says F**ck PETA and all. I for one don't know much about them except that they do not tolerate the abuse of animals on television/movies among other things.
I put it on the fault of the people in charge of not letting the horses ,in this case, die while filming. I mean how many films, like Braveheart for example, have 100s of horses in battle scenes , and none of them were hurt or killed. There are so many movies that many horses and animals are in and none happen to die. The films before CGI had to use all these extras and nothing.
Now with Luck they didn't have tons of horses , and the fact that 3 were killed is their fault. They were shut down because who knows how many more might have after 3 in 1 season ??
I for one think it should have kept going as the show may have been one of the greats from HBO, but they did it to themselves. It really sucked big time !!

The third horse wasn't injured during filming.... And severed fractures is common with racehorses in real life racing, not just with filming. You mention movies like Braveheart, but those horses weren't RACING, which pushes a horse to its limits. And anytime someone falls of a horse or a horse is hit by something in those movies, it's an animatronic and the real horse is far from harm's way.

Braveheart and Luck are two projects involving two very, very different types of horse stuntwork and really can't be compared to each other.
