The ending [spoiler]

When Church gets out of the truck at the end and says "I've got to go back" does he mean he's got to go back and finish killing everyone? If so, why drive so far until getting out?

reply

I presumed that he wanted to go back to kill the rest and die himself so he could be with the girl. I should point out that I really dont care because that was one of the worst films i've ever seen. I hope he went back in time to kill whoever came up with it.

reply

He went back in time to Amistad, when his career had potential.

I have a new philosophy. I'm only going to dread one day at a time.

reply

I thought he meant go back to help the monks. The spiel about the "initiation of a monk" at the end kind of infers that.

reply

Well ... there only appeared to be a single monk left and he might even have been near death. My take was that Curtie was going back to finish off the rest of the gang.

Consider, why would he have gotten out of the truck if he was helping the monk(s)? Jimmy would have just driven him there, dropped him off on the way to wherever he was taking the girls.

reply

He is just leaving. It is left open to the imagination of whether he is going back to kill the rest of the gang or whether he is just walking away. Remember, he is now a monk as in Mae's spiritual line, "It was about the initiation of a monk."

reply

Why would he want to kill the rest of the gang? I'm surprised they actually let him leave there alive with all the girls so he should leave it at that and don't go back again.
