nah, it was great movie. i enjoyed it.
shareI think the acting was pretty much OK but the directing wasn't ideal. And what plot do you mean? There wasn't enough there to be good or bad. I agree on the dialogues and I find "good guy beats and shoots everyone else up, cause the bad guys would miss a barn door if it was right in front of them" very boring. Very Segal-ish...
shareInteresting plot
Inconsistent but not horrible dialog
Likable if unimpressive acting
GREAT action
If you like Bangkok Dangerous you'll like this more. If you hated it, you'll probably hate this.
Kinda interesting but the acting was pretty bad. The ending "plot-twist" was obvious from the beginning.
shareJust watched it and thought it was quite good actually. I've been a fan of Djimon Hounsou since Amistad and thought he did a good job here. Agree with a lot of other comments on here though-Kevin Bacon's character was poor, especially the accent (which to my mind seemed to change gradually)
One day a real rain will come and wash the scum off the streets
The worst cockney accent since Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.
shareGreat action?
I suggest you watch Kerd ma lui, Born to Fight, THAT has great action.
Elephant White was terrible!

Ah, yet another man trying to avoid people knowing the truth. About what men like DoctorDrake like to do with young women and such.
Original plot, interesting cinematography, clearly written and directed by people experienced with the Thai spirit.
Very good action scenes. Fascinating watch. Nice audiotracks and score too.
the dialoge wasn't up to par because the director was the same one from ong bak and if i remember correctly the dialogue in that movie wasn't all that great either, i mean the lines given too tony jaa's character were plain horrid, and he didn't even speak that much. but everything else was enjoyable. i thought the movie was good enough to watch and the action was fast paced. the plot wasn't terrible it was just predictable which is how most movies are nowadays. i think the acting was okay what really annoyed me kevin bacon's accent. they should've gotten an actual british actor. but still like i said i enjoyed watching the movie.
Your nothing to me but another dead vampire- Blade
I watched this because my netflix que is running out so I have to watch something. Better watch something than nothing.
The movie could have been ok, have it been filmed 50 years ago. To this day there are multiple dozens of movies just like it that all have to do something with child prostitution somewhere in asia. In other words there was no need to regurgitate.
But the biggest problem with the movie comes from the fact that it was a movie about nothing really. There was no plot whatsoever. In 90 minutes movie went from some theme to a no theme to an ending with no wrap up and then bam right in your face comes a political statement. Err... I suppose I can agree with why that message is there... but leading up to it... there was no culmination or climax to follow. Maybe I should have watched that movie drunk and half passed out to wake up every few minutes and catch up on what is going on and wake up with a big hangover that was the ending?!
What I do not get is why would Pinkaew invite outside cast into his otherwise usual collective of home grown actors? Were Bacon and Hansou on vacation somewhere in asia and he just happened to run across them? It just seemed very un-pinkaew like if you know what I am saying.
He is slipping as a director although he did give us some good movies so I cant forget those.
Fully agreed.
