ignoring does not equal cheating

Working hard to provide for a family is not a viable excuse for infidelity.

Did she talk to him or try and show him she's wet. Not from what we see.

Well, true, but there seemed to be more to it than just that he was working a lot of hours. For one thing, going to that massage parlor -- while a lot of men might argue that this is not cheating, and it's certainly not "emotional cheating" with someone he actually has a relationship with -- a lot of women would consider that a physical form of cheating because he's getting sexual gratification from a real woman (not just porn or something) who is physically delivering that.

In many relationships, the wife would be very dismayed to learn that her husband is receiving that on a regular basis.

I know guys say "It's just physical relief, doesn't mean anything," but many women in a relationship would view that differently and much more negatively.

Plus, my god, he's a schlub who has Wynona Ryder at home, why on earth is he avoiding coming home to her for the alternative of some anonymous hand-job?!
There are issues going on right there!

But yes, they should have been talking about this.

The whole movie, though it's not really a good movie, is basically making the very good point that you gotta TALK about stuff and not bottle everything up or keep you partner in the dark.
