Suppose to be a comedy?

It's not very funny.

The main premise seems to be that the kid got really bad parents, but was very lucky to have had RICH bad parents! Imagine how much worse his life would have been if his mom didn't have a trust fund and his dad wasn't a successful businessman.

I didn't see it as a comedy, but a movie with a number of funny circumstances. I enjoyed seeing it.

I considered the film to be more of a drama movie.

Another "dramedy" where the filmmakers attempt comedy by making quirky characters do stupid stuff. Agreed, this would be a more challenging story if they weren't millionaires & hippies.
