Amen. I totally agree. My small church speaks often of community and helping others. I think many churchs need to be more open to helping the community. One man we helped had two churches tell him they were too busy. All he asked for was someone to pray for him and a used coat to wear while he search for a job! I am still stunned they turned him away.
So many people need help and often the only help they need is someone to listen to them and someone to care.
