Is this a sequel to the 2008 Mirrors film?

There is no info here on IMDB on it following the first mirrors movie with kiefer sutherland. Or is this a sequel to another movie?

Mirrors was lame. I'm hoping the sequel will be better, especially considering my lovely Emmanuelle Vaugier is the leading lady.

Sounds like it will be more of a body count film. which isn't necessarily bad. I hope it's better than the first one though. what a waste of a cool premise.

It doesn't follow the first one at all. It's a completely different story

It still have the same concept and also have the name Mayflower in it.

The Mayflower is the only connection to the first movie at all!

And I happened to love the first Mirrors! Actually creeped me out a bit and possibly one of the best scores I've ever heard. It's a shame this sequel had to be the way it was. Wasn't terrible but just too disappointing.
