I just thought that the 2nd was well put together as far as understanding everything than the first. I did like the twist at the end of the first better. If they keep the pattern of 2nd and not be predicable and not go crazy and weird (demons)then I see more sequels. I did like the crime mystery of the 2nd and hope they keep that

Simple answer: neither.
BUT, if we're going to dig deep into this, then I might as well chime in.
Although first one had Amy Smart's pretty junk, this one had Romano's junk & dirty pillows. Still, the pillows were fake and uneven, but it's simply a bonus because we're given her rump as well. Although, the death of Smart was 100x better than Romano's lousy death almost reminiscent of a Final Destination killing. Also, given that both of them have great butts, but Smart is x100 hotter than Romano and her death was also better than Romanos... hmm... I'm going to have to say the 1st one was better; only based on this judgment... since, well, the rest of both films were terrible.
I was excited when the first one came out, because Aja (the director) killed it when he made The Hills Have Eyes. I was disappointed with Mirrors, though.
Mirrors 2 was good, especially for being a direct-to-DVD movie. It was basically a good american horror movie-that was similar to an asian horror movie-without meaning to be.
I'm glad I bought it.
