Confusing

This whole thing confuses me. Don't get me wrong I very much want to see it, but something is not right.

The whole page for this movie, along with the trailer, talks only about Holly in modern day and whatever, but if you check out the official site, it says it is supposed to be a movie about The Big Bopper. So either someone screwed up the website and linked it with this movie or something really fishy is going on.
