I dont understand why...

Seriously, I don't understand why so many people actually think this movie is crap. To me, its was quite solid. I am no Cuba Gooding jr fan, but I enjoyed him in this particular film a lot. Same can be said about Cole Hauser.

I am actually glad that Gooding has come down a few steps n started making these low-budget movies. He looks more real, more believable. Although most people claim he's finished (after he got his oscar).

Finished? Do you know what is a "finished" actor? Check out Jeff Wincott or Lorenzo Lamas.

PS: "The Hit List" is a good little film.

I am not a huge Gooding fan either...
but I liked him in this role...

This was an ok little film...
fairly predictable, but entertaining....

I would even give it a 6.

"The Hit List" is not even a movie. It's a bad TV series episode disguised as one but of course if you call Jeff Wincott or Lorenzo Lamas actors ...

I thought about this question a lot while I was watching it. I eventually came to the conclusion that the script and story are basically quite good. Something went awry in the editing and possibly the direction.

I had my first clue in the very beginning when Cole's character has a dopey look as we see him look from one photo on his work desk to the other. And those sorts of choices kept happening, despite basically good production values and not bad acting.

(Although Cuba's sudden "zombie-esque" delivery of voice and dragging his foot at the end was a bad choice too. He could have delivered those without turning this into SciFi. But then again, this may have been a direction and editing decision.)

I also thought it was an excellent little thriller. Contrasted with Collateral, which I can't even remember much of, it was so dull and dragged on. I thought the pacing was pretty good without CGJr going over the top.
