I almost quit watching this movie. (Spoilers)

The first hour to an hour and a half of this movie was a little boring. It's been done before, at least twice. Finally the last half hour provided some unexpected twists.

Detective Reeson was just off the wall ridiculous. Especially her conversation with Molly when Molly approached her to tell what was going on and then changed her mind. It was almost like a Farrelly Brothers scene and didn't fit the movie at all. I'm not sure if this character was meant to be funny, but she was.

Husband Jeff....completely bland character.

Sophie....she was annoying through at least half the movie. Having seen the same kind of movie before, Strangers On A Train and a more recent one, I wouldn't recommend this one unless there's nothing else to watch. The final 30 minutes was the only part that was interesting.

I agree, and the husband was such an AS*HOLE! His poor ex-wife, who he knew loved her daughter inspite of her problems, who was abandoned by her own family, who he saw sobbing when she lost custody, said he felt like they were FREE once she died. Sure, he showed horror at first, then said they were free from all the headaches and craziness; this, after seeing his grieving little girl to bed. I cried when it showed that poor child's reaction; she and her mom loved each other so much. That woman had so much tragedy and you're glad she's dead, you bastard? You know what she went through the night she was killed, even having the necklace she shared with her child stolen? And what about your poor little girl's grief? Is that worth it, just so you won't have anymore "headaches"? Piece of trash.

Yes! I thought what the little girl said was true, about how the new wife was making the real mom look bad. The new wife was very manipulative of the little girl. I didn't like her at all. I knew it was going to have a strangers on a train plot, and at first I thought the ex-wife would plan the murder of the current wife. When it was the other way around, I was disappointed, because I didn't want the ex-wife to die, but I didn't like the new wife and wouldn't have minded if she'd been the murder victim. Anyway, yeah, the husband and second wife were completely unsympathetic characters. And yeah, it was a ripoff of a much better film.
