shareYou may wonder if this film's a ripoff of any particular Hollywood movie, but Sajid would probably say its his plagiarized version of Ben Stiller's films, picking plotpoints from Along Came Polly(leaving the guy on his honeymoon), The Heartbreak Kid(60% of the movie) and Meet The Parents(Arjun is almost Robert De Niro).
Indian cinema is a friggin' shame

They shud hv made a remake of nething . but cliping d scenes out of so many holly movies made d movie worst . like the scene akshay hiting d monkey , it ws thr in d scary movie 3 i bliv .. d actress hiting d cat .. scary movie series is spoof movie n stupid scene like tht suited it n it ws quite well executed
but fiting it into a movie like hOusfull made it more shi*full
I dont think there will be anything preventing the desi's from making it a hit.

There are directors and scriptwriters who make movies for entertaining audiances too. People complain that it is a s*** movie, but they also choose to watch the movie. In the past year all of Akshay's movies were flops, so why are people going in to watch his movies ?.
lol last year only 2 flopped, rest were above average due to high cost. HOUSEFULL IS ON IT ITS WAY TO SUPERHIT.

May be akki's last few movies were not flop but average according to u.....but for me movie is not stated as hit or flop considering only its box office collection.....first thing for movie to be hit or flop is that the audience should like that movie and the most important thing is that movie should stand the test of time....and u will agree that akki's so called average movies remained in memories of people only for few days forget about years man.....the movies are earning only because akki has a huge fan following but it will surely decrease if he will do movies of these type....
dude if wanna see akki in different film, then waith for his satire kaatha meetha, it will be different.

shareonly difference was that in meet the parents ben stiller goes to de niro's house and in this movie arjun goes to akki's house....if this much difference is originality for u then good for u....and one more thing if u have seen meet the parents and must have seen mujse shadi karogi(as u look a big akki fan)there were many scenes of the meet the parents copied in mujse shadi karogi so he didn't copied that part this time and copied the remaining movie in housefull....

shareu grow up man....first of all go and watch meet the parents..then come here....its not only brother or father thing,arjun rampal chracter was same as De Niro chracter....de niro was CIA agent and rampal was cbi agent .... both had lie detector machine and over that the sign which arjun makes to akshay with his two fingers pointing towards eyes was the same,exactly same as de niro did in meet the parents,de niro also did lie detector test on ben stiller to check his honesty and love for his daughter and arjun does the same so where is originality man....and i m not the only one saying this,please have a pain and read other posts in this same thread and u will come to know who needs to grow up.....
