propaganda after propaganda.

Pretty much blaming pakistan for all the disliked countries(Iran and north korea) having nuclear weapons. but nothing being said about isreal just a brief mention about them having a nuke.
Its just double standards america can give the UK france and isreal nukes but pakistan can't do the same.

I agree completely. How many pictures were there of shadowy men in white coats in laboratories in Pakistan or Iran. The point is to terrify us by the brown Muslim people having nuclear weapons.

And yet there are no scenes of men in white coats in Israel in their nuclear laboratories. The documentary also reports that Pakistan sold the nuclear secrets to other countries like Iran. But wait, how did Israel acquire nuclear weapons? This is a very small country. The United States gave the 'secret' of nuclear technology to Israel. No mention of that there. No mention of how the UK acquired nuclear technology not much after the US did. No mention of how Turkey was armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons in case the Soviets launched an attack.

The documentary also spends a great deal of time investigating terrorist organizations and how they could potentially acquire nuclear weapons. But has a terrorist organization been proven to have them? There is one nation that definitely has nuclear weapons and has used them in the past on civilians. The United States bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

This documentary says there are some 20,000 nuclear weapons in existence in the world. It never mentions directly that combined, the United States and Russia have some 80% of these weapons. Maybe we should start there.

It actually does mention that the United States and Russia have about 94% of the world's nuclear weapons. It mentions this several times. This was at the end in case you didn't make it all the way through. Many of the individuals being interviewed also stated that the place to begin would be to disarm the United States and Russia.

The film did seem to focus a little too much of the instillment of fear and the possibility/probability of terrorists attaining and using nuclear weapons. But this documentary is not the first source where I have heard such things or how easy it is to create a nuclear weapon.

And they did very briefly mention how the UK acquired nukes shortly after the U.S. And if you were insinuating the U.S. somehow assisted them, I suppose its possible but very easy to assume they came up with it on their own. I believe at that time they were the second strongest country economically, they had comparable resources and technology to the U.S.

My main complaint about this film was how it was dumbed down so much. For a lengthy 2 hour movie, there was not enough content. I would have preferred more dialogue from people getting interviewed, it seemed the film had a lot of nothing. Too much slow motion or slow sequences where they were trying to get things to sink in for the viewer.

Just a little something interesting. Show's the nuclear timeline for the past 40 years or so.

They misunderestimated me.

Maybe they could get rid of about 4,000 warheads and then we could talk about more reductions, huh?
