filming location

As a Nottingham resident and Robin Hood fan I can tell you there's really not much of the real Sherwood Forest left - it's a lovely place to visit but you'd be hard-pushed to find enough filming locations there without modern buildings visible or the like. As far as I know, no Robin Hood movie has ever actually been filmed there - Eastern Europe tends to be more popular as there are a lot of huge, unspoiled woodlands there. If you really wanted to film in the UK then somewhere in Scotland or maybe Epping Forest outside London would be better.
